Q.1 What is PAYBIR?

PAYBIR is a project initiated by BIR to support its Tax Collection Drive. Through the PAYBIR service, taxpayers may now pay their tax of P10,000 and below by a simple text message.

Q.2 Who are the partners of BIR for the PAYBIR Project?

The PAYBIR Project was forged in partnership with Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) as the Accredited Agent Bank and Globe Telecom acting as taxpayer agent. Globe utilizes its G-Cash facility to make tax payments on behalf of its subscribers.

Q.3 How long will this service be available?

Initially launched in January 2005 for the renewal of Annual Business Registration, this service will now be available all-year round and will cover other tax types.

Q.4 What are the covered tax types?

Only taxes P10,000 and below may be paid using G-Cash. The following tax types are covered:

Q.5 Who can avail of this service?

This service is available to all Globe and Touch Mobile subscribers. Anyone who wishes to avail of this service must be a registered G-Cash subscriber. Tax payment via G-Cash is accepted for corporate and individual taxpayers.

Q.6 How do I become a registered G-Cash subscriber?

Text REG <4-digit M-PIN>/<Mother’s Maiden Name>/<First Name>/<Last Name>/<Address>/<Telephone No. with area code> to 2882

Example: REG 1234/Aurora Reyes/July/Santos/5 Santol St., Project 4 QC/027564321 You will receive a text message saying that you have successfully registered.

Q.7 How do I convert cash to G-Cash?

Just go to any Authorized G-Cash Outlet which accepts cash-in transactions. Show the required identification to frontliner. Give the frontliner the cash plus the processing fee. The outlet will send the G-Cash to your mobile phone number directly. For accredited G-Cash partners, please visit www.myglobe.com.ph/gcash/partners.asp

Q.8 How do I pay my tax via G-Cash?

To pay your tax via G-Cash, here are the simple steps:
  1. Fill out the correct BIR Tax Return Form

  2. Pay your tax of P10,000 and below using G-Cash

  3. Indicate on the lower portion of your tax return the G-Cash trace number

  4. Go to your nearest Revenue District Office (RDO) to file your tax return. A designated BIR officer shall be assigned to accept your tax return

  5. Keep a copy of the tax return for future reference. You may also print a copy of the payment confirmation return from this website www.bir.gov.ph the day after you pay using G-Cash


To start paying your tax, please make sure that you have sufficient G-Cash in your mobile wallet. Type the following:

Where:

Amount - the tax amount due
MPIN - your 4-digit mobile personal identification number

Form Type - indicate the Tax Return Form No. used when filing your tax

Tax Type - indicate the type of tax you are paying

Return Period - Tax filing date; must be in the format MMDDYY

Example: 033105 (March 31, 2005)
TIN - 9-digit taxpayer’s tax identification number
TPBC - 3-digit taxpayer’s branch code; last 3 digits of your 12-digit TIN
RDO - 3-digit code for Revenue District Office from 000 to 115
TPName - Taxpayer’s registered name

Once the transaction is completed, you will receive a confirmation message and corresponding trace number. This will also be the corresponding BIR reference number.
Q.9 What is a trace number? What if I forgot the trace number?

The trace number is the confirmation number provided by Globe after you have completed your G-Cash transaction. This number will be printed on the lower portion of your BIR Payment Confirmation Form together with the date of your G-Cash transaction.

In case you forgot your trace number, please call the G-Cash 24-Hour Hotline numbers: 2882 (toll-free) from your Globe Handyphone or Touch Mobile. 1-800-8 2882882 (toll free) from any Globelines phone or 7392882 (Metro Manila). The G-Cash Customer Service Agent will do a thorough verification before providing you with your trace number.
Q.10 What is the telephone number of the BIR Contact Center?

You may call BIR’s 24-hour Contact Center at 981-8888.

Q.11 What will I receive to confirm my payment?

You will receive an SMS advisory with corresponding trace number. You may also view and print the corresponding BIR Form at www.bir.gov.ph 1 day after date of transaction.

Except for Form 0605 and Form 0613, the Payment Confirmation Form shall serve as your official tax acknowledgement receipt for the other form types i.e., Form 1700, 1701 and 2000.

Q.12 How do I get a copy of my BIR Payment Confirmation Form?

Visit the BIR portal at www.bir.gov.ph and click on the PAYBIR. Enter the trace number or your 9-digit TIN and mobile number and click on submit. The BIR Form will be displayed with the taxpayer’s corresponding information. Click on the print button.
